Anguish(BJE MOA)

I can't explain what anguish I am feeling towards Malacañang right now! If it was not for that BJE(Bangsamoro Juridical Entity) MOA(Memorandum of Agreement) there would be no civil war going on in Mindanao right now!!! Yes, I am so blaming Malacañang(especially GMA) for this matter! They are just doing this to pursue their own personal interest! If BJE will be created automatic there will be a change in the charter because the ARMM has separate provision in the constitution. A change in the charter will, thus, lead to the extension of the term of the present administration. Their greediness have already eaten them up that they'll do everything, even killing their own people just to stay in power.

PEACE?!? the heck! BJE will not resolve the issue in Mindanao! Why? First, not all the leaders of ARMM are approved in the said MOA because if the BJE is established they will be under the Federal System. Therefore, they cannot do what ever they want to do to their respective provinces of the Bangsa Moro place. Second and the worst, it's not really the ARMM alone that the MILF are claiming their ancestral domain, it's the WHOLE Mindanao. If we will give them the ARMM they would think that we are afraid of them and soon they will conquer Mindanao as well...BJE is just the first step! Third, the MOA/BJE violates many provision in the constitution...thus, it's unconstitional. If the MILF cannot respect the constitution itself why give them the full right to ARMM?

In order for us to attain PEACE we should LEARN to RESPECT one another regardless of culture, race and religion!!!

Nakakainis! basta basta nalang sila gumagawa ng hakbang without even consulting the people! They shoul'd have informed us...but they kept silent beacuse they have their own hidden agendas bihind this MOA. Without the Supreme Court's TRO, MOA wouldn't have been known to the people!!!! We are afraid and panicking for the possible things to happen!!!!

Moving a Holiday into another Day

Ninoy Aquino Day (Rep. Act. 9256)is a public holiday in the Philippines observed annually on August 21. It marks the anniversary of assassination of former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr. Returning to the Philippines after three years of self-imposed exile, Aquino was shot in the head and killed on August 21, 1983 as he was escorted off an airplane by soldiers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Today is August 19, and it's public holiday. Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo moved the holiday(The Ninoy Aquino Day) on Monday instead of Thursday. Actually she(GMA) always moves the dates of holidays especially when the real date strikes in the middle of week. The reason for this according "daw" to GMA is for the family to spend longer time together. On my own opinion on the another hand, moving a public holiday into another day defeats the real purpose/essence of it. It's disrespecting the law and the the holiday itself.

SP for School Days only?!?

What I really don't like when riding a tricycle or jeepney is when the driver or conductor asks more than the fare mandated by the government.

Pupils and Students are given SP(student privilege) of about some(i don't know the exact percentage) percent off in any land travel fare(I don't know to water and air travel--haven't rode in an airplane or ship for a long long time-- if they offer SP's too) like down town. They(we) are given such privilege for the reasons that they(we) are not yet earning and still dependent to their(our ) parents or guardians.

The jeepney drivers and conductors in our terminal know me already for I always ride(for more than 4 years now) in their jeepneys everyday. Now the regular fare from the City to Tampakan is 18php and for students is 16php. There are times that I pay them more than the amount that I should be paying them and there are times that I pay what is just for me to give them.

Going home one Saturday when I paid the conductor 16php. He insisted that I should give him 18php. I told him that I am a student and he argued that it was Saturday and '
no class' during Saturdays. phew.. Got deafen by those words of him...and that was then that i started to make taray.

There are also times when I ride down town that tricycle drivers ask how much you're going to pay them. Hello?! They know already how much the fare is, why ask?! When that happens to me, maghahanap na kaagad ako na iba pang masasakyan.

I know that how expensive the gasoline is and I know how small the profit of a driver.

I looked for the provision on that SP but, unfortunately, I didn't found it. I wanted to know if it is stated there that SP effects only during school days. But come to think of it noh, wether it's weekend/holiday or not a student is a student! They cannot deny the fact they(we) are still dependent to their (our) parents in terms of financial matters!

Blogging is a Fulfillment!

Just received my personal google adsense personal identification pin last Saturday---too bad I can’t use it anymore… *sigh* Anyways, ok lang, I made another account naman. But I wont close this account though. This is where I started as a social blogger, why close it? Still gonna post my opinions and ideas here. J

About my google adsense disability, wasn’t really that sad though. First and foremost, I love blogging, wether I gain or not it’s okay with me…because I’m happy sharing my thoughts and opinions about things.

The fulfillment in blogging is not how you make money but on how you express yourself and touch the lives of other people through your writing. Thus, blogging in the sense is already a fulfillment!

The Man as a Being

Philiosophy of Man is one of my favorite(next to logic) minor subjects these college days. It's a very interesting subject. And maybe one of the reason why i really liked and enjoyed the Philo. of Man was Father Nonoy(he's a priest). It's just that he thought very well --though his approach was philosophical and hard to understand sometimes.

Philiosophy of Man obviously talks about man perse, the human being who seeks to find meaning in his life.

This article aims to share with you some of the most important things I've learned in my Philosophy of Man subject. Things that inspired me and gave me strength to face the world.

Man is the summit of God’s creation, the most special being in the world. He is the only rational being who exists, has intellect or the capacity to understand things. Being a rational being man has his own free will to do what he wants to do…and this free will is in accordance with his capacity of being a human.

Man is the only kind of being that exists and he is conscious of his existence. He is finite, not perfect and has limitations. Man is existing into the world with a sense of purpose and direction. He is the initiator of all actions and the center of feelings and emotions, capable to love and get hurt. The perfection or completion of man’s existence is death.

Man’s life is a journey. He makes history into the world for he is the only being who can define what history is. His life is full of experiences such as pains, struggles and happiness. All those things are necessary in order for him to understand and appreciate the meaning of life…and suffering makes man improve and find betterment in his life.

Being a man in this world is not easy (fyi) because you have to comply with all the gifts you have as being a human. If you fail to, you defeat the purpose of being a human. Thus, to be called a man is to act like a human being should be acting.

Tatsulok

Lyrics Tatsulok lyrics

Have you ever tried being greeted in that kind of manner? How's the feeling? If not, what if you have been greeted that way? How would you feel?

hmmm... honestly, I tried being called in a "pssstt" kind of manner by a guy whom i donnot know and phew! ..it feels like your some kind of a cheap girl--hey i am not a dog! But nowadays, seldom you can see a guy who is gentleman enough to respect a girl as she is. That's true.

On the other hand, we can't blame those guys doing those things coz it's like the society is teaching them to do so. Look at what's inside the the Billboards, TV ads, etc, most of them are portray /photos of girls who are almost naked. It's like inviting someone to a sexual activity(well, that's how I see things there).

Unstoppable Reality!

Be practical!
kaya...
when your suitor ask
what you want...
chocolate?
flowers?
stuff toy?
c'mmon!
be practical!
"BIGAS" gurl!
"BIGAS"!

The message was sent to me by a friend. It's just some kind of a joke when you just read it but pay attention to it, it speaks the reality here in the Philippines!

My gradparents and I usually go to the market every week to buy things(groceries, ketchen products, etc.) we need at home and my Lola's medicine. Now we do it twice a month. And if my aunt goes out to the market he(my lolo) would just send her money and she'll do the groceries for him so he could not waste money for the gasoline. And these past weeks I would often hear him saying: "mahal na ang bigas, mahal na gasolina, mahal na lahat! haaayyzz... wala na talaga!" My mother and aunties(guess the whole citizen of the Philippines) are also complaining with the prices of products in the market, specially the price of RICE!

1 kilo of rice today's worth PHP 42.00. Would you believe that?!...well, you need to, it's the fact!
When I was in high school, 1kilo of it just worth PHP20 something. I'm in my 4th year college now, and in just 4years, its price was doubled! phew!

I always believe Philippines has hope..but at this point of time, with these crises(political, economic, agricultural, societal) we're having right now...I don't know! I'll just wait for miracle I guess.

We are not rich and we are not that poor neither...and the over pricing in the market is really a BURDEN for us...how much more to those poor people, the poorest of the poor?! Do you think they will survive in a JUST way? I don't think so!

I guess the author of that texts just wants us to open our senses to the reality. We have to be concious on what is happening around us..and be ready to the unstoppable reality!

Nakakalungkot talaga...and sa totoo lang, para na akong maiiyak(how much more sila tina and her other friends). i've seen their friendship and how much they value one another.. pero talaga ngang ganito ang buhay.. *sigh*

Have you watched the Pinoy Big Brother nomination night last night? honestly, i don't like the other housemates' idea for nominating Robi. It's not because your rich you are not worthy to win right? The game is not about who needs the money and who's Does NOT!

The Unexpected!

"there are things we don't expect to happen that really happen. am so sorry na sa hubby mo pa nangyari ang ganun..."

…those were the words I’ve said to Mummy Sheng last Saturday to make her feel better when I read in her space the incident that happened to her hubby.

Few hours after sending the message to Mummy Sheng, I decided to log-out. When I opened my pouch to get some money, my nerves trembled when I found out that my wallet was missing. I was so sure I put it inside my bag before I left home. I started panicking. Got no money to pay the café for my internet rent.

One hour before I decided to log-out, I went to the comfort room. Having thought that no one would touch my pouch, I left it on my station.

I asked the counterman if he has seen anyone or someone went on my station but said he hasn’t. I asked the other customers—with suspicion that one of them was the thief—but said they haven’t. If one of them stole my wallet, he/she is crazy to tell me and admit that he did it of course.

I was so embarrassed and really disappointed with myself for being so idiot and careless!

So stupid for leaving my things without any hesitation that someone may steal them. Thank God I brought my cp inside my pocket.

Because I got no choice, I asked the counterman if I would permit me to go out to find a solution to pay them. I left my other things to assure them I’ll be back.

I went to school to find some friends and asked help(to lend me some money).Kinapalan ko na ang mukha ko. After an hour, I saw Sheena and Rachel(my best friends). Wala na silang pera that time so they were not able to lend me. But they helped me find someone who could help me with my problem. In the end, the person I never thought I would be asking for help saved me. Thanks to Geraldine, the 2005 Mutya ng South Cotabato, who happened to be my best friend way back in grade school.

Inside my wallet were 700+PhP(pamasahe ko sana papuntang Gen.San) and some of my brother’s receipts for his required payments for enrollment.

It was really a sad incident. There are things we don't expect to happen that really happen. I couldn't get my wallet back anymore. I just wish the school didn’t lose their copies for the list of payers, else will pay again. *sigh* I just have to be more careful next time. I wont trust any person I don’t know from now on so the incident wont happen again!

The Ant and the Grasshopper

Have you ever heard the story of “The Ant and the Grasshopper”? Well, I remember it was my favorite story when I was in grade school.

The story is all about an ant who works all day and night looking for food and then store it in his little house(a tiny hole). And a grasshopper who spends his whole day playing. He had no care of the things around him as long as he is happy and enjoying.

One day, an unexpected circumstance happened. There came a heavy rain that washed the land and destroyed plants that serve as food for insects. Now the poor grasshopper has no place to go and nothing to eat. Meanwhile, in his house ant was busy eating. Ant had plenty food to eat because he stored many of it when the weather was fine. No problem to tend to…just ‘when will the rain stop’ for him to work again. Hoping the rain already stopped, ant went out to his hole to see the sun but he saw his wet friend grasshopper chilling in cold instead.

Ant welcomed his friend inside his house and gave him food to eat. Ant let grasshopper stay with him until the rain stoped.

Grasshopper’ heart was full gratitude for ant. He could not explain how sorry and regretful he was for being so lazy. The ant he thought silly before for working day and night saved his life.

Grasshopper learned his lesson and promised to be industrious from then on.

That’s where the story ends. Really like it because it’s so inspiring. It gives us lesson to work hard in preparation for the future. It also tells us that if we are doing NOTHING to make our lives better, we will end up with NOTHING!

Happy Holy Week!

We are celebrating Holy week this time guys and i want to extend my greetings to all of you.

What is the significance of the holy week?

For me, holy week is the time to remind us how great God and Jesus Christ are. Time to think and ponder and to evaluate ourselves. The time to give thanks for the glory and for the gift that God had given us, the gift of Jesus Christ!

Happy holy week guys! May God always bless us. :)

I can make a difference

We(they) have just elected the new set of officers for the next school year in our club. Well, didn’t(intentionally) attend on the said election. It’s not that I don’t care about the club nor I am passive or what. I just don’t want to be in the position.

After the day of the election, Thaiza(the newly elected treasurer, a tagalong speaking girl) asked me “Ate weng, bakit hindi ka umattend sa election natin sa club?” I just smile at her and said “Wala lang… di ko lang feel… basta!” then she told me that they will supposedly nominate me as the VP of the club since it is said in our(club) existing constitution and by laws that the 3 major officers should come from the incoming 4th years. Now, what happened was that the newly elected VP was an incoming third year student so the election of VP was a null and void. But the 2006-2007 officers drafted a new provision which stated that lower years can hold a major position in the club provided that he/she is qualified in the said position. Now the issue(haha..have learned my cases na!) is whether the club will ratify the draft for Jomarie(the elected VP) to claim the position legall . I was shocked na may ganoon palang problema.

Now on my own opinion, there is no way for us not to ratify the said provision(talagang ayaw maging officer noh?). It is not a problem whether the person or student comes from a lower year as long as he/she is qualified in the said position. So, a big YES for new the provision!!! J

After the conversation with Thaiza I posed and thought for a while. If I was there(in the election) and nominated as the VP, would I accept the position? Would I take the responsibility if I win? Uhmmm… I guess, NO. It’s not that am afraid with the responsibilities or what…have my OWN REASONs for it. I have thought for it before and decided not to attend on the club election. So what if I’m not an officer? Can I not be a good member? Can I not help my club? A good public service does not matter on the position you have but the HEART you have for it. If you’re just an ordinary citizen it doesn’t mean that you have nothing to offer to help the state. By being a good follower of the law, faithful and loyal to the government(NOT to the officials), by being a good citizen, you are surely helping your state!

What are those reasons why I don’t want to be an officer?
There are people(not all of course) kasi that are obvious of having their own personal interest in the club…people you can’t get along with…and attitudes you can’t take. I don’t want to pretend. I am just a human being, finite. No matter how open or broad minded I am, I still have my limitations, I am not perfect. So for me not to go beyond the limitations, I have to do something. I want to show to them that you are there in the club not for the reason that your “title” as an officer will be written on your affiliation(admit it’s needed you haunt for a job but it’s not what I mean though) or you will be SOMEBODY in the school etc. You are there in the position to SERVE and NOT for anything else!

I also want to focus more on my community. I just don’t know why I am like this, all I know is that this is where I belonged. Most of the people there(in my community) are poor(not that poor talaga…parents can. somehow, send their children to college though—hindi nga lang sa mga private universities kasi nga kulang sa financial) and the youth are going on the wrong path. I want to share to them my learnings at school because nowadays, because of modernization, instead being the HOPE of the society, youths are becoming BURDENS. They are lack of self-awareness and I want it to be installed in their minds. Actually, my friend Abner(also a youth advocate and a leader) and I came up with an idea to facilitate activities intended for the youth of our puroks and for others who want to join us, that will make the youth unconsciously learn and be aware with what is happening around them. The proposed activities were quiz bowl(questions are related to issues in the society), parlor games where they can develop leadership skills, sharing of knowledge where in everyone of us will share the realities we have seen in the society at gawan ng analysis or reflection. We are also planning to cooperate with the SK officials, headed by my brother, for the activities to be more formal. I am really looking forward to it. Sana matuloy.

WHO you are and WHAT your are in the society doesn’t matter, it is on what you HAVE DONE to make a difference for the betterment of the society.

HEAR ME!

This was sent to me on my friendster by a friend of a couple of months ago. It's a letter of parents to their child Written by Rev. Fr. Ariel F. Robles,CWL Spiritual Director,St. Augustine Parish, Baliuag, Bulacan". I was really touched by this one.

Huwag mo sana akong pagtatawanan o pagsasawaang pakinggan.

Yesterday while walking on the side walk I saw an old man sitting in front of the gate of the cathedral. He has no slippers with dirty clothes...and he could not see anything. He's blind! He has disposable glass beside him where people who are passing by can put coins or anything they have to offer for the poor old man. When I passed by, I gave him a five peso coin(the only thing I can give him that time). I couldn't take to look at him in that kind of situation so after giving him the coin I walked fast away from him. Then I remember the letter above sent to me by a friend. I wonder where could be his family or children or relatives...or meron ba siya kahit isa? cguro naman meron noh. How can they do that to their own parent? whew...

I(also) really am disappointed with the kind of government we have here in the Philippines. They are supposed to make moves to solve this issues. The problem is they just only make action only if the media exposed it on TV or radio or when someone who has this so called "say" in the society would come to them and told them to do so...but of course i don't say that the government is really that bad.. NO! I still believe that there are still pure-hearted public servants--however, there are only few of them.Just telling that there are people in the government who will just do their duties and functions if they are told to do so.

The man i saw yesterday was not the only old man who suffers from that kind of situation. There are so many of them---if you just try look around. I had this thought, actually, that maybe their children chose to abandon them because they had done something not good in the past-- we just don't know...but can't we forgive and just forget everything that had happened and live the present with no heavy hearts to carry..?? Yah, it's hard to do but can't we try? They are old now and I know they regret what they had done and didn't in the past... If you are the child and your parents give you everything, value and treasure it. It's true that it is their responsibility and your right to have a good life but i guess it is your responsibility too to pay them back the things they have done for you(I'm not talkin material things in here).. Take care of your parents and show them the love that they had given yor when you are still little. Because that's the only THING a parent could ask for his/her child.

Take the Rate My Life Quiz

Your Life Analysis:

Life: Your life rating is a score of the sum total of your life, and accounts for how satisfied, successful, balanced, capable, valuable, and happy you are. The quiz attempts to put a number on the summation of all of these things, based on your answers. Your life score is reasonably high. This means that you are on a good path. Continue doing what is working and set about to improve in areas which continue to lag. Do this starting today and you will begin to reap the benefits immediately.

Mind: Your mind rating is a score of your mind's clarity, ability, and health. Higher scores indicate an advancement in knowledge, clear and capable thinking, high mental health, and pure thought free of interference. Your mind score is within a healthy zone. This means you have achieved a level of mental balance and harmony consistent with living a healthy, happy life. Continue doing what works, and keep your focus. In our fast-paced world, mental clutter is all too common. Be vigilant in maintaining healthy mental function.

Body: Your body rating measures your body's health, fitness, and general wellness. A healthy body contributes to a happy life, however many of us are lacking in this area. You have an excellent body score, which means you are incredibly focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Continue in that focus, and your body will remain healthy and strong.

Spirit: Your spirit rating seeks to capture in a number that elusive quality which is found in your faith, your attitude, and your philosophy on life. A higher score indicates a greater sense of inner peace and balance. Your spirit score is relatively high, which means you are rewarded by your beliefs. Spirituality is clearly important to do. Never let it slip, and continue to learn and grow.

Friends/Family: Your friends and family rating measures your relationships with those around you, and is based on how large, healthy, and dependable your social network is. Your friends and family score is quite healthy. You have a social network you can depend upon. Count your blessings, but never forget that these bonds need to be maintained. Keep your friends and family close.

Love: Your love rating is a measure of your current romantic situation. Sharing your heart with another person is one of life's most glorious, terrifying, rewarding experiences. Your love score is in good shape, meaning that things are going well. Do all you can to maintain it, and continue to grow and move ahead.

Finance: Your finance rating is a score that rates your current financial health and stability. Your finances are somewhat in the middle, neither bad or exceptional. Keep doing what works for you, and improve what doesn't. Focus on long-term financial stability as your goal.

Ironies

Man is really hard to understand and life is really full of contradictions.

  1. We know what's the right and good thing to do yet we tend to do the opposite.
  2. We ask questions sometimes but actually, we have answers in mind already. We just want to compare our toughts to that of the others.
  3. We smile but deep inside we are bleeding.
  4. We seek advices for our problems or for anything but in the end our heart's desires prevail. and lastly;
  5. We have bright ideas in mind but we don't find a way to put all those ideas into action.

Isn't it just so ironic? What can you say?
Well I think, the last one is best described the Filipinos. They say that 'Philippines is rich in intelligent people', our leaders come from the most standard schools in the country and even abroad--sa sobrang talino, harapan at garapalan kung mangurakot-- yet the country is not improving. Where are the brains of those so called "intelligent people"? I am not only referring to the government, huh, but to all citizens as well. The reason why corruption is rampant in the government is because the society itself is corrupt! The fact is the Philippines will remain hopeless if we don't make any actions...sabi nga eh,"

Evil will prevail when good men do nothing"

oooppppsss! I guess that's all--baka kung saan pa mapunta ang usapan! hehehe... hmmm.. so what do you think my fellow countrymen?

Thank God I have vacant time to post something.. :)

Life's Contradictions

Life is really full of contradictions.

Just take a look at this:

  • We know what are the right and good things to do yet we tend to do the opposite.
  • We ask questions sometimes but actually we knew the answers already. We just want to compare our ideas to others.
  • We smile but deep inside we are bleeding.
  • We seek advices for our problems or anything but in the end our heart's desires prevail.and lastly;
  • We have bright ideas but we don't find a way to put all those ideas into action.

Isn't it just so ironic? Well I think, the last one is best applied for the Filipinos. They say that Philippines is the country of intelligent people--sa sobrang talino, harapan at garapalan kung mangurakot-- yet the country is not improving. Hey, am not only referring to the government, huh, I am referring to all citizens of the country! The society will not produce corrupt officials if the society itself is not corrupt... oooppps! I guess that's all--baka kung saan pa mapunta ang usapan. hehehe.. Well guys, come to think of it...

Well, thank God

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session

I have the chance to witness a Sanggunian Panlalawigan(SP) Session last January 30, 2008. It was the first Sanggunian Session I have ever witnessed. The presiding officer of the session was the Vice Governor of the province, Atty. Eliordo Ogena. At first I thought that the governor was not around for some reason that’s why the vice governor acted as the presiding officer for the mean time. But I have learned from a 4th year polsci student, who was also there, that in all the session of the Sanggunians, it is always the vice who acts as the presiding officer(except for the Sangguniang Barangay where there is no Vice Brgy. Capt.). And also I have learned from my father(and through consulting the Local Gov’t. Code) that the Vice Gov. or Vice Mayor cannot deliberate discussions and debates with the sanggunian member(during session), just facilitates the session and act as the tie breaker during votations.

The components of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan are the Board Members, the President of the Provincial Councilors’ League(PCL) President, Representative of the Barangays in the SP(ABC President), and the representative of the SK in the SP(SK Federation President of the Province). Beside the presiding officer was a woman, whom I think the head secretary/stenographer because she was taking notes of all the things that were being discussed during the session. Beside the room were bunch of other secretaries who were also taking notes. There was an area at the back where visitors and those people who wanted to witness the session sit.

The topics of there(SP) discussion were the ordinances enacted by the municipalities and city. I was not really able to hear all their deliberations and arguments because I was sitting at the back and the people in front were talking while the SP were also talking. All that I had noticed was that it’s not really that necessary for all the members of the sanggunian to speak up and draw their arguments. Some are just listening and nodding. Only few gave their opinions and comments. After discussing a certain topic where no one argues or contradicts they would proceed to another discussion.

After the session, I realized that it’s not easy to be a sanggunian member(a politician). You have to be professional enough not to loose your temper during discussions. As a legislator you have to be aware on what is happening in your community so that you can make ordnances that will promote the general welfare of the people. You also have to be a good public servant because politics is a game for keeps. All the things you've done and doing as a public servant will reflect to your name and to your family as well. And it has long time effect, it will past thru history.

Over all, witnessing a Sanggunian is such an opportunity. We were able to have an overview on how a sanggunian session is being held. I just hope that our provincial officials here in South Cotabato will be responsible enough and do their duties to serve their constituents well until they end their office.

Actually, I thought of posting this before… hehehe… nalimutan ko lang i-post. I just remember posting it when I open my USB and saw it.

You love being loved and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... Hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....

At first I thought I was a parasite, later did i notice that i was reading the wrong birth animal. Well some of the descriptions above are true though. But you know what shocked me? I was more of a parasite than of a cockroach! hahaha...

If you are an Ass : A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble, and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

If you are a Slug : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what make s you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek your company and look forward to include you for all get-together. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!

If you are a Cockroach : Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactful! y derive work from people. You love being loved and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... Hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....

If you are a Parasite : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.

If you are a Skunk : You are near to perfect and nice at heart! . The examples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give, and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.

If you are a Bullfrog : You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of fri ends! and go od at consoling pe ople in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love....

If you are a Snake : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the w! ay you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

If you are an Ape : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

Now I'm passing this to Ate Myrna, Just Saying, and to byotipol.

NationWide Noise!!!

OMG! there are so many anomalies in the State that I am getting a head ache over this stuff. All I could hear on the radio, TV, school-gossip, and even in the department store is the grandest NBN-ZTE deal (Lozada) issue! Nakakabingi... nakakahilo!!! Who is telling the truth and who's NOT?!? To whom could we put our trust?!?... It's like everyone has his own personal interest. They are just fooling us, at tayo naman nagpapaloko din!

Juan dela Cruz, WAKE UP!!!

Your Award!

It's my first time to receive an award here in the blogworld.. and ngayon ko lang din nalaman na may ganito pala dito.. really surprised.. So thank you so much ilovephilippines for the award! It's really overwhelming. It really means a lot to me.. You know naman how much I love your blog. ^_^

Now i would like to give this award (my first award to be given) to the person who brought me into the BlogWorld:

Tina's Life is Meant to be Abundant. This is the blog I love reading whenever I get online (aside ofcorz from ilovephilippines). Actually I've known her for almost a year(but haven't seen her personally yet). A very good friend. Congratulations Tina, this award is for you! *wink*

Happy Balimtayms day!

Photograph copyright: F. de Jager - Courtesy Philippine Council for Living Traditions

The rain was pouring yesterday so I decided to ride in a jeepney to go home. The jeep is actually going to Tampakan, a neighboring municipality of the City of Koronadal. Our place( Barangay) is the boundary of Koronadal to Tampakan so the people in our place sometimes ride in the jeepney. I was sitting in the front sit together with the two other ladies. In the jeepney, the two ladies were talking, I didn’t understand their conversation because they were speaking in their own language which is the B’laan. I knew then that they were B’laan because they are the only natives living in the mountains of Tampakan(tampakan is composed of Ilonggo, Bisaya and Tagalog and of course the B'laan Tribes). While the waiting for the other passenger,s the other lady asked me ‘what’s the date yesterday day’… I said “February 13, 2008”. Then I heard the other one said “ay! balimtayms na gali b’was..” (“Oh, tomorrow will be balimtayms day…” in English.) What she meant for the word balimtayms is the Valentine’s day… the word doesn’t have corresponding word in Filipino so when we use the word in our language, we use the word as it is.) I just kept quiet and just forced my self not to laugh that time because I knew that they would be offended if I did.

When I reached home I realized that if I chose to laugh the native because she didn’t pronounce the word properly, it would be a shame on my part. They are less educated compare to I am so I should understand why they could not pronounce some words in English properly—and to think that not all educated Filipinos pronounce the English words well.. And it’s not really necessary for us (Filipinos) to be good in the language because after all it is not our mother tongue. The circumstance also made me remember my father’s story of his first assignment being a teacher. He was assigned to teach the natives of Lake Sebu (the T’boli) in the mountains. He said the condition of the natives there is not good. He also said that when they need water for bath or for drink they need to walk 5 kilometers away from the community just to get water, and to think that the place is surrounded by mountains.

The government really forgot them already. They are not able to enjoy the programs and projects of the government, that’s supposed to be for all citizens, for the reason that they are so far away to the civilization (which my father and I think is not right). The wealth of the government should be equally distributed to all citizens no matter how far they are from the civilization and regardless of their tribe. They (gov’t.) should be just and fair to all. The natives of the country should be the focused of the government because they are (I guess) those people who really need help. They should also be taught to preserve their culture (w/c makes the Philippines unique) because it is already vanishing. And it’s not only the government that should give attention to them, I guess we (civilized citizens) should too. We should accept them for who they are and what they are. We should not discriminate them because of their tribes. They are also humans like us who posses dignity. They didn’t choose to be like that. Just try to imagine this: what if you were born as B'laan, you don’t want to feel discriminated and disgusted, right? So let us give them the respect that is due to them. We are all God’s creations and we are all brothers and sisters.

The Simple Truth

i was browsing in the comment site.. when this simple truth strucked me.

CommentYou.com is your One Stop Shop

I don't want to say this actually but the image really tells the truth. Men just engage in a relationship just to get s*x while women give s*x just to get love. That's how I see the world of relationship nowadays. But I still believe that their are still good men who really take relationship seriously.---however, there are only few of them
